"The construction of our halfpipe was a huge success and is being enjoyed daily by the neighborhood skater rats. Over a weekend, and several trips to the hardware store, my husband, 13 year old son and his friend built the halfpipe to the specs of the dvd and plans. It was a fun project and continues to be a giant source of entertainment in our own backyard. We're looking forward to a summer filled with rock-the-fakies, axel feebles, tail grabs, kick flips and much more! :-)"

Sending over some pictures of my beautiful ramp ;-). The neighbors are also very pleased with it, at least that is what they say... As you can see I have used some different ply comparing to the instruktions. I replaced the masonite with a 9 mm, 7 layers ply. This plywood also has a folie surface, brown/yellow side. Here in Sweden it's called "farmers plywood". I'm not sure what it is called in the U.S. The other ply I used were Lauan-ply since this has better resistans agains rot and is beutiful to look at. I filled the coping pipe with concrete. On the ground I have a gravel bed in order to drain the rain (since it often rains here in sweden.) As you also can see I have painted the edges and also used tape to seal the joints (removed on the pictures however). After the replacement of the masonite the ramp become very fast to skate. An improvement I am thinking about is to replace one or perhaps two of the 2"*4" transition studs into 2"*6" instead. That would reinforce the construction. We are very happy with it and I have recieved many compliments for it. Hopefully you will soon recieved more customers buying plans, from my neighbourhood.

The construction went great. The plans were crucial to making it a success. We did it in one long weekend and appreciate you answering our phone call question on Memorial day holiday right before your barbecue! We built the halfpipe inside our above ground pool deck - it fit by about 2 inches - thanks to your excellent dimensions and instructions we were able to fit it in.

I still have not put the coping on and the deck is still not finished on one side. It is located in a large room under my garage. I converted your plans to 12' wide. I would eventually like to add another layer of melamine to make it a little smoother -- but my kids just dont use it very much, but I have neighbor kids knocking on the door all the time to use it.

Thanks
Reed

I have had this built for a while now, and just remembered that I never sent any photos to you! so, some construction phase photos, and some action shots. I also have some video footage and when I have it ready I will post it to my .Mac homepage and send you the link. Love the ramp! 6 days a week, 1-3 hours! even the kids love it!
